My favorite Korean barbecue place in all of Southern California. Besides the wait there's not much to dislike about Soowon Galbi. I love their bone-in short rib. All of the meat is delicious and their sides are plentiful and worth eating. Soowon is a la carte and a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny

You get quality meats here and excellent service. I had no idea the staff cooks the food for you so that was a bonus (if that's your kind of thing.) everything was very well marinated and very tasty. I recommend staying away from the cold noodle soup, I thought it was mediocre. The broth lacked the vinegary tartness I was expecting and the noodles were too thin. Other than that, everything else is very good. Parking was a breeze but maybe because I arrived earlier than the time folks normally have dinner (around 6pm.)

This was my first experience at a Korean bbq restaurant. It was fantastic. Our group of 3 split an appetizer and one bbq meat and there was plenty. Finished with a bottle of black raspberry wine. Absolutely the best meal of my trip.
